Worship Resources
The Mennonite New Life Centre finds its inspiration
in the gospel story of the Good Samaritan and in Mennonite
values of community, mutual support, peace building and service.
From the story of the Good Samaritan, we learn that the commandment
to “love your neighbour” is a practical challenge to offer
care and support across the boundaries of race and religion.
As we do so, we are blessed by the friendship of those we serve.
In this exchange of friendship, we become neighbours
with the newcomers in our midst.
In an increasingly multicultural society,
churches and social ministries are called to consider again
the gospel challenge to love our neighbour and to become neighbours
with those who once were strangers. The Mennonite New Life
Centre seeks to be a place of reflection on the meaning of
multicultural ministry. We offer resources to our supporting
congregations to help them meet the challenges of building
community out of diversity.
