Settlement Services: Help for newcomers

Our settlement workers can help you to find answers to many questions about making a new life in Canada. When you book an appointment, you will receive individual attention from a knowledgeable and experienced worker, who speaks your language. Our settlement workers assist newcomers with a wide variety of needs:

  • immigration matters
  • education and training
  • looking for work
  • social assistance
  • housing
  • health
  • emotional needs
  • family problems

Settlement workers will listen to your concerns and provide support. They will help you to fill out forms, write letters or make phone calls in English. They will help you to find a school, a doctor, a lawyer, or another service that you need. You can come back as many times as you want and the service is free. Newcomers and citizens welcome. You will be asked your immigration status only to direct you to the person with the best experience to help you. This information is kept confidential.

Time:

Monday – Friday, 9am– 5pm.
Saturday, 9am – 1pm.

Settlement Worker for Seniors

Whether you are newly arrived or have lived here for many years, our seniors settlement worker can help you find answers to your questions and help with meeting your goals. When you book an appointment, you will have time to ask questions, talk about your experience and share your concerns. Our seniors settlement worker can offer assistance with a variety of needs:

  • immigration matters
  • educational and training needs
  • employment opportunities for seniors
  • social assistance, old age security, pension benefits
  • housing and health
  • emotional needs
  • family problems

Our seniors settlement worker will listen to your concerns and provide support. She will help you to fill out forms, write letters or make phone calls in English. She will help you to find a doctor and an interpreter for medical appointments. You can come back as many times as you want and the service is free. Newcomers and citizens welcome. You will be asked your immigration status only to direct you to the person with the best experience to help you. This information is kept confidential.

Seniors Club

The seniors group offers you an opportunity to make friends, enjoy cultural and recreational activities, learn from presentations and workshops, and participate in group projects. Presentation topics and group activities are proposed by members of the group. Your ideas and participation are welcome. Please join us!

Time: Friday, 2pm - 5pm
Languages: Spanish.
