Interpretation and Translation
We offer our clients support with interpretation and translation.
Volunteer interpreters will accompany you to an appointment
with your doctor or social worker. The service is free, but
advance notice is required. Please talk to your settlement
worker if you need an interpreter.
We also offer our clients support with translation and certification
of documents for immigration purposes. We are able to provide
translation of the following documents:
- Birth and death certificates
- Marriage and divorce certificates
- Drivers licences and identity cards
- Criminal record documents
Please talk to your settlement worker if you require document
translation. We request a donation of $5/document to help cover
the cost of providing this service. There is a limit of five
documents per person. You must present original documents two
weeks in advance of the date when you need the translation.
