LINC: English Classes
Our English classes can help you to master the language of
your new country, and prepare for employment or further study
in Canada. You will study grammar and practice conversational
skills, learn about your new society and discuss current events,
receive support with resume writing and learn job search skills.
At the same time, you will have the opportunity to meet other
newcomers experiencing similar challenges during their first
years in Canada. Many of our students have made strong friendships
that have played an important role in helping them to overcome
culture shock and feel good about life in Canada. As a small
school, with caring and professional teachers, we offer a warm
and supportive learning environment.

We
offer:
- LINC levels 1 to 5
- Full-time and part-time classes
- Free childminding
- Free TTC tickets for students
- Free use of computers
- TOEFL preparation
- Holiday celebrations

Childminding
Our LINC students benefit from free childminding services.
Your preschool children will play and learn in a safe and supportive
environment. Like adults, children often struggle to learn
a new language and get used to a new way of life. Our childminding
staff understand the challenges of settlement and provide children
with the support they need to adapt and succeed. The childminding
facilities are fully equipped with learning materials, toys
and a kitchen.

Job Search and Employment Information Sessions
Job search training and employment information sessions are
an important part of our LINC Program. In job search workshops,
you will receive information and assistance with preparing
resumes and cover letters, practicing interview skills, and
developing job search skills. Talk to your teacher about your
particular interests and information needs.
Starting in September, we will be offering employment workshops
every Thursday afternoon at 2600 Birchmount. Join us for presentations
and discussions on job search skills, employment rights, and
more! See our
flyer for details. |
