New volunteer opportunities

The Mennonite New Life Centre is a place of welcome, friendship and community, where newcomers and neighbors gather to support each other, learn from each other and take action together for a more just and compassionate society.

We are currently looking for volunteers to come on board and help us put in practice fresh ideas for our programming!!!

We are looking for a Choreographer or dancer to join our youth theater group, and combine dance with popular theater and help youth express themselves through dance, rhythm , corporal expression.

Our seniors group is in need of a ESL tutor for seniors, to help to teach basic-intermediate English to Spanish speaking seniors. Seniors will develop and enhance their English skills in a weekly session with a tutor.

The New Life Centre wants to promote a healthy lifestyle among newcomers to Canada; with this aim we are forming a soccer team with newcomer youth. The idea is to gather and play soccer, promote friendship, develop leadership and teamwork skills while practicing the King of the sports!!! We are looking for an energetic Soccer coach to train and lead our youth to win.

And finally, we want to increase our roster of volunteer Community interpreters. Our volunteer interpreters have been providing high quality interpreter services to newcomers to Canada with basic command of English, breaking the sense of isolation newcomer experience as a result of language barriers. This is one of the most popular programs in the centre, run entirely by volunteers.
