July 2011 – Occupation Specific Language Instructor

The Occupation Specific Language Instructor will be responsible for teaching “Tools for Communication,” a specialized communications curriculum that focuses on developing the English language and socio-cultural communication skills required for successful employment in the Canadian mental health workplace. October 2011 – Settlement Worker Intern (Spanish)

The Settlement Intern will be responsible for providing settlement assistance to Spanish speaking newcomers from Latin America, with a focus on refugee claimants, temporary workers and non-status immigrants.  The Settlement Intern will encourage, support and empower newcomers to meet immediate needs, build community connections, and participate in their new society.    This is a part time internship, 21 hours/week, for a total of 44 weeks starting November 2011. All applicants MUST be recipients of Ontario Works and must be residing in the city of Toronto.  Read the full Settlement Worker Intern posting.
