Womenʼs group “Mujeres en Accion”

Letʼs talk about it women!! Every week immigrant women share their experiences, learn and support each other in a safe environment and empower themselves in our Womens group

This is a continuing program from the Community Mental Health team. Every week we explored different topics, with the facilitation of a mental health counselor.

Where: MNLCT North York. Site. 2737 Keele St. Unit 9. Toronto, ON M3M 2E9 (Keele & Wilson).
When: Every Saturday. Starting this October 22, 2011

Seniors Group

At the MNLCT we have something for everyone, and our group is a space for Immigrant Seniors to meet, cultivate friendship, share their experiences and stories, and have fun… from field trips to instructional sessions about a variety of topics, check it out! Every week there is something different to do. Where: MNLCT North York Site. 2737 Keele St. When: Every Wednesday afternoon. Time: 3:00 – 5:00 pm.

Youth Theater Group in North York

Every Saturday afternoon is theatre time at the Mennonite New Life Centre!!!

Our Newcomer Youth Theater Group gathers every week to express themselves through art and movement, in an energizing and supporting environment.

Theatre is a powerful tool to overcome the fear of public speaking, build confidence, make friends and unleash the inner potential we all have to express ourselves!!!

Thinking about getting a job… summer is around the corner… Our workshop will help you prepare to find a meaningful job opportunity this summer, through orientation and assistance in identifying job opportunities, building your resume and planning your career. International Journalists Group

If you are an internationally trained journalist looking for a group of fellow journalist from all over the world, you have arrived at the right place!! Facilitated by a foreign trained journalist, the mentoring group is a forum for journalists interested in knowing more about Canadian media, networking opportunities and freelancing. Each month the group meets to explore a different topic.

Immigration and Integration Workshop

The experience of being and immigrant and adjusting to a new society is often accompanied by stress and anxiety. Settling down in a new country and a foreign culture is a process that takes time. May 14, 2011 starts the cycle of 4 workshops about Immigration and Integration. The series explore with participants the immigration experience, and how to overcome its impact on their well being and health.

Citizenship Training in Spanish

Our popular citizenship test preparation sessions are back. This training consist in 8 weekly sessions, where participants will have the opportunity to practice a citizenship test and study the booklet Discover Canada.

Our sessions are tailored for those who are close to take the citizenship test, or those wanting to take a closer look at the Canadian history, culture, values and institutions. Sessions are facilitated in Spanish, with materials in English.
